LEBWCO works closely with hospitals in our area to coordinate sensitive communication with donor families, consent to donate, and ocular tissue recovery. We engage in ongoing outreach and education with staff at more than 23 medical facilities in the Dayton region.

Ophthalmic Surgeons and Researchers
LEBWCO ocular tissue for transplant and research is distributed through TBI/Tissue Banks International. For information on ordering tissue, please contact the Tissue Distribution and Information Center of call (800) 858-2020. We endeavor to meet the needs of surgeons and researchers by providing high-quality tissue when it is needed.
Montgomery County Coroner’s Office
We maintain a strong relationship with our local coroner’s office. Communication between the Coroner and the eye bank helps us to identify potential eye donors while remaining respectful of donor families. We thank James J. Davis, M.D., Coroner, and his staff for their support of the LEBWCO mission to restore sight.
